Mr. Mike Hughes
Mr. Hughes is a charted engineer with over 25 years of experience in the power industry in Africa and the UK. Prior to his current position, he headed projects in Zambia and the UK. In Zambia, he was in charge of telecommunications and electro-technical for the power company. In the UK, he was a manager for the National Grid Company and his responsibility included being the Program and Business manager for the building of a National Fibre Optic Network. Since 2004, he has been the science and technology advisor to the Government of Rwanda in 2004 where his key role is to develop the National Policy and Strategy for the development of STI for poverty alleviation and economic growth.
