He was put on Shelby, contacts and calls were rare and far between the two, she made phone appointments with my husband but never kept them, when he contacted smq to find out why the call appointment did not take place, he was given various reasons, 2 different on the same day. (A person from smq, when he called her, told her she had been in court all day, then 10 minutes later, another person told her she was on another call to the office) This happened the whole time an appointment was made, but never took place and it was always justified differently and when he called to find out why the deadline had not been met, but was told that his case was being processed. My husband and I have since sent Shelby articles related to the case, despite the lack of contact. a few weeks before his case was heard by the court. He received a call from smq to say that Shelby was no longer working there and that they desperately needed all the information for his case. I passed it all on, but it was a challenge, as we believed when we gave it to the company when it was in good hands. Her case started in court shortly after (2 weeks) and it appeared that when they accessed the Shelby file on my husband`s case, there was actually nothing on the drive and so smq desperately needed everything again.

After my husband`s case started in court, everything was rushed, every day we were asked for new evidence that we did not have with us at the time, regardless of the fact that we lived hundreds of miles from Oxford, we could not access the necessary items because they were at home, which caused frustration, We provided everything we could, but the case did not go as planned and my husband was remanded in prison in July this year. Smq said they would appeal, and that`s the last thing he hasn`t heard from since. In fact, he has been trying to get in touch with his lawyer since and has only had two forms of contact with smq, a letter to say that the hearing date has been adjourned, and it was only after contacting SMQ to say that my husband needed to talk to someone as he did. No contact from the SMQ as he was taken into custody and felt he was going to rot (his words) and he wanted an update and needed help as he was seriously struggling not knowing what was going on with his call, then a video call 4 weeks later. That was at the beginning of August and since then he has had no contact. I contacted smq again on his behalf and was asked to give him the lawyer`s number. He tried to contact smq through an employee only to find out that someone had to call him back, which is very difficult considering where he is. He also sent me messages and emails from him asking smq to contact him and has since sent various letters to the smq office and still has not received a response to anything. He was back in court last week, without a legal team and no response from the SMQ in any form whatsoever. I understand that lawyers` strikes make this difficult, but a client deserves to be treated fairly and to have contact.

The way my men have been treated is truly appalling and I will now go further. So, my advice once again to anyone who wants smq as a legal team, I would recommend going elsewhere.
